Martin Hatzmann studied physical chemistry and mathematics (1975) at Leiden University.
He has specialized in patent work on heterogeneous catalysis and nanotechnology. His particular expertise lies in the field of prosecuting patent applications and oppositions before the various patent offices around the world, and patent cases before the court in The Hague. He has wide experience in handling supplementary protection certificates.
Martin is substitute member of the Dutch delegation for the EPI council. He is also a member of the Examination Board for the European Qualifying Examination and chairman of European Qualifying Examination Committee I.
