Martin Klok graduated in organic chemistry at the University of Groningen (2002). After a study of the Japanese language he did research on fuel cells at a major technology corporation in Tokyo. He obtained a PhD from the University of Groningen on research into motors for molecular nanotechnology (2009). In addition to his PhD research, he worked on food composition analysis.
His experience lies in the field of, in particular, organic synthesis and physical chemistry, as well as spectroscopy, photochemistry, chemical (photo) kinetics and food analysis. Further, Martin has a strong personal interest in functional molecular systems.
