Robert (Bob) Lelkes studied chemistry (1980) and law (1983) at Cleveland State University, USA. A former U.S. patent examiner, he has practiced patent law in the U.S., Switzerland and Germany. He has considerable experience in procuring and defending patents in the chemical and pharmaceutical fields, and in procuring freedom-to-operate via opposition, litigation, negotiation and interparty agreement. Robert has also helped clients protect know-how and trade secrets, conduct IP due diligence and negotiate and prepare international contracts for joint development, dispute settlement, purchase risk allocation, licensing, toll manufacturing and nondisclosure. Companies engaged in transatlantic business profit from his multijurisdictional expertise. Robert heads the VEREENIGDE branch office in Munich.
